Trossachs Scotland - Walking Routes

The map shows a selection of easy and more difficult/strenuous routes in the Trossachs.

'Easy routes ' are those which range from level to fairly steep but not requiring any particular navigation, scrambling or climbing skills

More difficult routes may be steeper, longer and to a greater height. They may also require sturdier footwear and weatherproof clothing. Mountain walks usually require maps, navigation skills and some scrambling abilities.

A word of caution on 'Higher Routes'

You must take responsibility for your own safety and have appropriate skills, knowledge and equipment for walks you undertake. The descriptions here are indicative only and you should ensure that you know the nature of any walks you plan to do. Note warnings!

Remember that some routes will take you some considerable distance from the nearest road. Be prepared - have suitable waterproofs and spare 'layers'. Take some food, perhaps a flask of soup and have a basic repair and first aid kit with you.

signal may be unavailable in some areas.
